New Ireland on the Fly Masterclass Series Launched

Ireland on the Fly, the leading fly fishing podcast focused on the people and places of fly fishing in Ireland, launched its first Masterclass series on Early Season Buzzer Tactics with international angler and Lough Corrib expert, Mike Keady.

It was a hugely successful opening night webinar on March 14th with Mike’s presentation on tactics, set-up and flies followed by an audience Q&A allowing attendees to ask Mike specific questions in detail.

All paid registrants also got access to a recording of the webinar as well as Mike’s notes.

Teagasc Virtual National Tillage Conference 2022 Launches as a Digital Webinar

Teagasc’s Virtual National Tillage Conference for 2022 was launched with production by LastCast Media.

Streaming via Zoom, YouTube and Facebook to over 600 participants, this first session of the National Tillage Conference follows on from a hugely successful virtual event in 2021.

Teagasc's National Crops Forum

LastCast Media was delighted to produce the virtual 2021 National Crops Forum for Teagasc this year.

Held over two mornings in September, the forum hosted a range of industry experts and Teagasc speakers on a range of topics from markets prospects for grains, disease resistance in cereals to trapping nitrate losses from tillage farms and tillage and carbon farmers, the future.

Each session was a registered event with hundreds of attendees watching via Zoom, YouTube or the Facebook channel and interacting through with live Q&As.

Oceans of Learning Webinar Kicks Off Marine Institute Campaign

LastCast Media was delighted to be awarded the contract to produce the Oceans of Learning webinar to kick-start the Marine Institute’s four week Oceans of Learning campaign.

Broadcast on May 20th, on European Maritime Day, the webinar covered the main themes of the campaign from life and wellbeing to livelihoods, climate change and the future.

Presented by Finn van der Aar, the webinar hosted interviews with acclaimed film-maker, Ken O’Sullivan, who made Ireland’s Atlantic Deep, Louise Alcock from NUI Galway on octopus and coral in deep waters, Commander Roberta O’Brien, the Irish navy’s first female commander, as well as a panel discussion featuring Andy Wheeler from UCC, Glenn Nolan from the Marine Institute, and Marie Donnelly Chair of the Climate Change Advisory Council.

This was a hugely successful webinar that was also live-streamed to the Marine Institute’s YouTube and Facebook channels with active engagement on Twitter also.
